Minor Arcana Ace to Ten – Card Combination for Potential Health Issues

*As we move into Part II of Truly Teach Me Tarot, The Court Cards, their Health Meanings will be added to the list below. 

Take a good look at all the Upright and Reversed Versions of The Minor Arcana Ace to Ten to determine which Cards if found in a Spread together may indicate Health Issues.

Health Card Combinations

NB** Below is a list in Alphabetical Order pertaining to Card Combinations for Certain Health Conditions. Please note that this is just a list of Combination Cards which carry similar meaning if a Health issue is being queried. It does not mean that you must have every single one of the Cards listed for a Particular Health Issue for that Health Condition to be present. What I am trying to do is to get you to use your imagination and eyes, along with your known meanings of the Cards to reveal commonalities that might reflect a Health Condition when a few, or several of them appear in a Reading. Sometimes you have to be a bit of an acrobat, and view the Cards presented in an irregular manner to ascertain their meaning when it comes to Health Issues. A bit like The Hanged Man who see things from a whole new perspective once he is hung upside down, you may have to approach the Cards in this manner when deciphering Health Readings.

This list is certainly not complete and you may also have your own way of deciphering Health Issues. However I would like you to study the images to determine how and why one might find a certain Health Meaning in any Particular Card. Sometimes it will be straight forward, as in directly associated with the traditional meaning of the Card, and at other times it will be through the symbolic imagery. You can add to this list or take away from it. Whatever works for you is the best way to go. I will remind you once more that nothing is absolute or Carved in stone in Tarot. All Readers and Teachers have their own way and methods of Reading and Interpreting so do not feel bound by the list attached or that you have to remember all of them. It is important that you go through the Suits Pages first for their individual Health Meanings before moving straight onto the Health Card Combination Page. By doing so will can see how they have been pulled together because of their commonalities, either bold and direct, or subtle and abstract. 

Mind Body Connection – Multiple Health Issues in The One Reading

You must also remember that one can be experiencing several Health Conditions all at the one time. We all know about the Mind/Body Connection. Healthy Body begets a Healthy Mind and a Healthy Mind begets a Healthy Body. If we are physically ill, we will be both emotionally and psychologically low too. We may be worried about our health, depressed because we feel so awful, stressed about missing so much work and concerned about the effects on family members. So bear in mind there may be several Health Issues being reflected in the one Reading. A highly stressed and pessimistic person is going to find it much harder to recover or beat an illness than one who is optimistic and relieving them self of as much stress as they can to encourage healing. Also combined in a Health Reading you may discover that the ill person is neglecting their nutrition. They may feel unable to eat and so get weaker. They may not be able to exercise which is one of the best therapies of all for recovery. There are many areas the Cards will reveal that may be promoting or prohibiting the recovery of someone from illness or disease. They could also be highlighting the root cause of an illness or condition. So a Health Reading should not just be about discovering a Health Condition and leaving it at that. It should bring in all the areas influencing the Condition and possibly ways of Battling it, Self-Healing or the need for Professional Help.

I have included at this stage some Cards that can under certain circumstances indicate a Physical Death but have pointed out that other Cards from The Major Arcana are also required. Especially for a Physical Death to be indicated in a Spread, you would need a heavy number of the listed Cards to be present as well as The Major Arcana ones. It would also have to be a Health Reading as you know by this stage that the listed Cards do carry other interpretations. These Cards can also turn up in a General Reading indicating a Death. It does not have to refer to the Querant, but can be anyone they know. Generally the Querant is aware of the situation.
